Offering protection, giving hope!

We are a private initiative that wants to make a difference for many disadvantaged children in Colombia. We support the work of a wonderful foundation near Bogotá, which is dedicated to protecting children who are victims of sexual violence and extreme poverty.

What we are up against

Exploitation of children

Despite peace efforts and a long democratic tradition, large parts of Colombian society are still affected by extreme poverty and the consequences of the armed conflict. The main victims are often children, whose protection rights are not always sufficiently guaranteed by state institutions.

An estimated 334,000 children are victims of sexual violence in Colombia every year.

Around 3.4 million children and young people in Colombia live in extreme poverty.

What these children need is a safe environment, proper basic care and access to education. This is the only way they can develop new hope and escape the spiral of violence and poverty. This is precisely the strategy pursued by the foundation "Ciudad de Dios Zoe", which has achieved astonishing success even with the smallest of resources.

Call to Action

Projects

In close coordination with our local contacts, we collect donations to implement urgently needed projects for which the foundation's own capital is not sufficient. With this financial aid, we promote a much more effective work by the foundation and thus contribute to better long-term care for the children.

of the donations are being invested directly in the projects, as all administrative costs are subsidized by the founders of the initiative.

per year, we will pay a personal visit to the foundation and regularly monitor the status of the project.

Our partner

We would like to thank our partner "Haus des Stiftens" (a non-profit company with limited liability under German law known for their philanthropic work since 1995). Without their support this initiative would not have been possible. Their funding app enables us to collect donations in a legally secure manner via a digital platform and pay them to the foundation in Colombia. In addition, our partner takes care of issuing the donation receipt for tax returns and distributing project reports.
